Traditional Marseille Household Soap from Marseille, France
Crafted at Savonnerie Le Sérail in Marseille, France, this authentic Marseille soap is still made in open cauldrons using the traditional Marseille process. One of the last soap makers to preserve this centuries-old method, Le Sérail slowly cooks each batch before cutting, stamping, and curing the finished soap.
For generations, large Marseille soap cubes have been trusted throughout France for household cleaning. Use them to wash dishes, hand-wash delicate fabrics, clean countertops and sinks, or grate into homemade laundry soap. The generous 1 kg size is designed to last and can be cut into smaller pieces as needed.
Made with olive oil and coconut oil, this fragrance-free soap contains no added colorants, preservatives, or whitening agents. It is completely biodegradable and requires no plastic packaging.
A light white powder may appear on the surface of the soap. This is a natural result of the traditional manufacturing and curing process and rinses away with use.
Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, water, sodium hydroxide
Traditionally sized cube: Each cube is hand-cut, so weights and dimensions may vary slightly. Variations in color, texture, and surface appearance reflect its handmade nature.
Weight: 1000 g (35.3 oz)
Packaging: Sold without packaging, just as it is traditionally offered in many markets and soap shops throughout France.
